Mass Air Flow question
I am using a 2009 V6 Direct injection engine for a engine swap. The engine came from a Traverse, but it now has a camaro intake and will soon be turbocharged. The engine is the same as the Camaro but I have wiring from a traverse.
I need a Mass Air Flow sensor for the vehicle and the part numbers are different for the Camaro and Traverse. The only difference in the engines is the intake and manifolds but the power rating was different. My question: Can I use a Camaro Mass Air Flow sensor? Second question: Would an aftermarket Jet Mass Air Flow sensor be of any benefit in a turbocharged engine with a cone filter? I am not sure how much if any of a difference it actually makes. I am assuming they flow better but some modifications in reality do not make much difference. Thoughts? Advice? I need to get one soon as my fabricator needs to have it as he is making my turbo set up. Thank you, Derek |
