ACC halo help

So, i bought a set of pre-installed used dual color halos and HID's from a guy on here and got everything pretty quickly and it was exactly what he said it was. BUT i think when he pulled the headlights out of his car to install the new ones he just cut the wires. I got them in yesterday and just had time to look at them and not really play with them much.

What i have is about 8-10 inches of wire coming from the halos. each headlight has 2 set wires that are black and red. One appears to be a little bit thicker than the other. I'm not worried about the length, i am savy enough to make the wires longer. But do i have the right set of wires as far as the black and the red go or are there supposed to be more color wires with them? If so, can anyone point me in a direction on the install? i looked through the DIY section and found some good material, but not too much on the wiring because i am sure you get that from ACC when you buy the halos new.

i know i should have just bought them new but i needed an extra set of headlights and got a good deal on this. i plan on putting this set in for now because i have a project in mind involving halos, projectors and a few more things for the other ones after our wedding in October

thank you for any help in advance guys!!

Just did the Halo setup a few weeks ago on my ride. For stock AAC dual color halos you should have 1 red wire for 12v feed and two ground (black wires, although they look like black with red-stripe as they were originally bonded to a red wire and then pulled apart later) Each of the grounds will light up a different color on the rings. Do a search on here for halo wiring schematics and you should find several diagrams explaining how to wire them up. Not sure what the other red wire is for, that's kinda strange.

Some pics of the wires/headlights might help us figure this one out for you with a bit more certainty.

Not for the Halos themselves, there's only 3 wires as long as they are the dual-color variety, i have no idea what the color-shift halos have for wires coming out of them..

You have all the wires you need to set up your halos. The colorshifting halos have I believe 7 wires coming from them. I may be off by 1 or 2 but its a lot more than the dual color halos.

on Color Shift you probably have a wire for each color in the spectrum

(ROY G BIV) = 7

just an assumption as I have no idea

Might wanna post a photo of the light. 4 wires (2 sets of red and black) almost makes me think cfl ballasts.. If you look at the front of the headlight can you make out the square led's going around the ring?

correct. CCFL is a single color halo. The dual halos are only offered as SMDs, and each halo has three wires. A red positive that both colors share, and then a ground for each color.
