New poster...New Camaro owner

Just wanted to say hello to everyone.

I just bought my new 1SS RS 6sp manual and it's the first muscle car I've ever owned. This car is freaking fantastic!

I live just north of Syracuse, NY so this will be a Summer+ car, stored in the winter.

I feel guilty about having 2 car payments but my DD is a 2007 Xterra with 54K and only about 5 car payments left. I love that damn truck BTW. It's quick for a 4500LB SUV. Faster than my old Durango which I loved also. Not even close to SS speed though...

I haven't driven a manual tranny since a 1993 S10 V6. Hope I don't ruin the tranny as I relearn using my left foot again.

Anyways...I have a new toy. Haven't bought anything like this recently and I've got that permagrin going. Until the next time I stall the darn thing in city traffic.

Only one pic so far

Not that great of a pic, other than it was almost at night and taken by my iPhone.

I also love the fact that my dealer didn't mount my front license plate and drill holes in the front bumper. He just told me it was worth the ticket and told me to tell the police it had just fell off...lol

I'll have more pics later...

I do have a couple questions if anyone has a free minute.

The only thing the salesman didn't cover before the dreaded 10 minute OnStar process...Is there a lever to pull to open up the fuel door?

When and if I need to replace one of the headlights, how much are these HID or HUD or whatever they are called to replace?

Is there an auxilliary audio input on a 1SS RS? If so where?

I've got the OnStar app for the iPhone...Are there any others that are worth trying out?

Thanks...

No there isn't a lever for the fuel door, you just push the door and it opens.
I am not a 100% sure on the headlight situation because I'm a LS owner and for now am satisfied with them.
The cable is in the center console its a small hole right under the cigarette lighter.
I have the app and I love it mainly because it locks the doors from any distance and it always gives me information about the car such as gas air and last trip.
I hope this helps.
And btw welcome to our little group.
Nice car.
