Removing dealer decal tomorrow. Suggestions on to not hurt the paint?

I'm removing this tomorrow:

Any suggestions on how to remove it without scatching/fading paint?

easy to do, just peel away. i used goo gone to remove the glue followed by some wax. no problems what so ever.

I have seen people heat it up first with a hair dryer, and then carefully peel it.

Maybe you should take it to your dealer and have them remove it, since they put it on. Then if they screw up your paint, you can tell them to fix it.

Would goo Gone hurt the Paint though? And yes, I wish it hadn't been put on in the first place but was out of my control at the time

Goo Gone shouldnt hurt the paint if you clean the area thoroughly after using it. However using a blow dryer first and rubbing alcohol later to remove the glue residue is your best bet.

Yeah, definitely heat it a little with a hairdryer and then the Goo Gone followed by a good wash with soap and water to get the Goo Gone off. If it looks like it's going to be stubborn, get a corner peeled up safely with the heat and then squirt a little of the Goo Gone behind the sticker to start loosening the glue. It should come right off.

i got lucky my dealer sticker is a simple vinyl sticker and easely pealed off much like the stripes on the camaro but i love my dealership don't mind haveing it on its small

oh and orginaly it was white and did not like the posstion so my dealer the one who sold me the car said "no problum" and removed it and put on a silver one so its even less noticable now but i could EASELY peal it off with no problum or lasting effect not like some dealers with there HUGE MESSY ONES like that one some people ugh ruin a car i tell you for advertisment

Get rid of the license plate bracket too if a dealer one. I took my decal off and the bracket. I bought the car for me, not for them to get free advertising.

Yeah I used a blow dryer to make it soft and used dental floss behind it and most of it came right off then goo gone and it worked perfect
