PAC Install Kit and Handsfree Mic
Hey folks,
New here, in fact this is my first post. I just installed a new Kenwood deck using the PAC install kit, and didn't see any way to hook the deck into the cars built in handsfree microphone. The new deck came with a mic, but I'd rather not have to run the wires and have this extra piece visible. Did I just miss something? Is there a way to connect the PAC to the built in mic? Also, are there any different chime modules available? The sound in mine is obnoxious. |

For me, it was just easier to run the wire up the passenger side of the vehicle to the headline. Took about five minutes of the install. But maybe one day if i ever get the time to install a different HU and a back up camera, I'll consider this route.

Same here. I ended up just re-installing the stock radio because of how much I had to sacrifice and what a pain in the ass it was to get everything to work correctly. I do plan on replacing the radio still, but I had a hard time with the aftermarket mic too and hated the annoying cheap chimes. The stocks climate controls didn't line up well with this kit either and made the HVAC near useless.
