Resonator Question (might be a silly one)

What is resonator for or do? What are advantages of removing it?

It helps with exhaust drone. On the auto, the resonators help with the AFM drone more than regular cruising drone.

usually removing a resonator will slightly improve exhaust flow and add a few ponies at the cost of added drone.

HP wise, there's little to no difference between having them and not. If you want the extensive version of what they do, google is your friend. I'm sure there are hundreds of links that will tell you exactly what they do and how they do it. On the Camaro, if you're a M6, there's no real reason to change them since they don't add enough weight to make them worth cutting out. If you are a A6, there would be a nice weight savings but make sure you put a crossover pipe back in since the resonator section also houses the crossover.
