Can I get a CAI now and supercharge later?

Hey, I'd like to get a CAI right now, but I know I also want to eventually supercharge, and I don't want to have to trash the CAI when that time comes. Is there a CAI I can get right now that could also hook up to say, a Magnacharger later? It seems a shame to throw away $400...
Thanks

You can buy a standard CAI, let's say from CAI Inc. and spend 150$ (?) on their kit to make it suitable for a Maggie.

Yes you can. When you buy a S/C you will need to buy a new intake tube for your existing CAI as the throttle body sits differently on the S/C intake than on the stock intake. Most CAI companies will have the intake tube for the super charger readily available.

Looks like you got your answer, yes you can but you will need a "different" one for the SC.

Just looked on the rotfab site and they have their CAI S/C upgrade kit for the Maggie listed at $99.99, so that would be approximately the additional cost you'd be looking at down the road.

Above responses are correct, it will not work with a centrifugal style supercharger though... Just in case you were considering that route... Nor will it work with turbos...

Correct, our kit will work on the naturally aspirated motor and when you get a S/C there is an update kit that will get you where you need to be! Let me know if you have any questions.
