another paint problem?

I was parked for maybe 10 minutes and when I got back to the car it looked like bird poo on the car.I sprayed quick detail and wiped it up but it left a huge stain. It dont seem like it would have stained that quick.I used a clay bar,I tried bug & tar remover ,and even tried wd 40. No luck getting it out.Anyone else with white cars have issues with stains?

It looks like you hit a big bug and it's guts spewed out all over the front fascia...happens to me every night! I'll leave it there for days though and it always comes off, no idea why you can't get that stain off! Nice SW LS by the way!

Yea, use rubbing compound if you want to scratch the shit out of your car...

Why do I say that you ask??? Simple, if you knew how the use rubbing compound without damaging the finish, you'd know how to get that stain out.

I have used it and NEVER scratched ANY of my cars. Its for removing fine scratches, oxidation, things of that nature. Its not sand paper... and its worth a shot. It took brown spots off of my G8 from sap from a tree.

And here's a link:
http://www.amazon.com/3M-Rubbing-Com...4411422&sr=1-2

its 100% safe. Rub on rub off just like wax. I usually wax the car after I apply and remove it. If you "scratch the hell" out of ur car with it... then you did something SERIOUSLY wrong.

Its a good idea to wax the car after. Just my take. You wont scratch it unless you apply the compound with rocks. Its just like liquid wax as far as applying and removing. Great for small scratches too!

Just letting yaill know if you use a rubbing compound you need to use a polishing compound after a rubbing compound never just use a rubbing compound and not polish after . Then you wax after you polish. If you have a buffer or a pc that spot would just polish out. By hand you may need to use some rubbing compound. Any rubbing compound is nothing like liquid wax and should never be treated like a wax.

ITS IS JUST LIKE WAX AS FAR AS APPLYING AND REMOVING. You rub it on and then rub it off with a clean microfiber towel in the same fasion. I don't get why there is so much confusion. No one said it was wax.

Just follow the instructions... you will be fine.

what kind of 3m compound are you using? post a pic? If it wont come off in 30 min the compound you havent isnt any good or its not coming off. If it doesnt leave any micro scratches or a dull spot like the other guy said it didnt then its more or a polish than a rubbing compound
