Best Performance On a Budget

So I have been thinking about putting approx 5k into my 2011 Camaro SS convertible and I know that some stuff is good and some stuff is a waste of money for the hp increase obtained. I was wondering if someone that has a vert could give me some pointers on some good chips, turbo/supercharger, exhaust, headers and a good place to purchase them/have them installed. I just hit 1500 miles on my SS so now am ready to put some mods on now that the "break-in" period is over.

Call John Lee at Atlanta performance and Fabrication. John is running specials on Superchargers with free install (centris and twin screw). Also, I think he had an install deal on Stainless Works stuff. They do great work and are not too far away.

Everything in my sig was bought and installed for 5200 that includes 300 for a diablosport tuner I no longer use and 250 for a cheesy tune to turn off cel! There is a lot you can get for 5K so you really just need to decide what your overall goal for the car is! Bc believe me it's easy to get carried away and overspend!! This is my 10th street car!!

Dude, $5,000 is not a "budget". That's a "fortune". A budget is more like$1,000. You can do a lot of good stuff to it with that budget.

We can set you up with a nice deal on some good parts. Are you looking to keep your warranty?

Not really too concerned about the warranty. While it would be nice to keep I would rather be able to beat my best friends Cobra than have a Warranty

Some long tubes and a tune make excellent power. I like the idea of some nitrous if you're on a budget. It makes killer power and you can always take it off before you take it to the dealer.

What year Cobra are we talking about and what kind of mods does it have? If we have a target we need the intel. A 2003 or 2004 in stock trim should run 0-60 mph in about 4.5 seconds and the quarter mile in the high 12's. A stock SS is already right there. With $5K you can destroy that.

Is your car a manual or auto?

Everyone has a different idea of what a budget for them is.

For sure there are a lot of things that you can do with that, and more or less depending on if you are doing the work yourself or if you are going to pay for labor.

Of course on paper, nothing is going to beat nitrous as far as strict HP per $ ratio.

Figure out what you want to do with the car, what area's you want to improve on, and how you are going to drive it and talk to a few shops and they can point you in a good direction. If you want to keep the car NA; headers, cold air induction, mufflers, tune....are going to be the best starting blocks for just about any build.

He has a 2004 Cobra with the shorter supercharger belts, cold air intake, headers, exhaust, and professional tune.

You shouldn't have a problem finding a used supercharger kit for that money.

Are you doing the work yourself? Is your car a manual or auto?

I have a manual transmission and I am not touching this car myself, going to be taking it to a professional.
