Getting mixed reviews what gears should i get for l99 3.70 or 3.91??

3:91 are pretty steep for auto. I'd stay with a 3:45/3:73 range.

People do all kinds of things that I wouldn't recommend partaking in on a regular basis. Why do you want taller gears? You didn't really express that. You could go with a shorter tire to emulate the effect of having taller gears.

I have the LPE 3.70's and I think it is a better overall gear for the L99 with my 285-35-20's as that equates to a 3.80. I also wanted the best overall gear for multi purpose use, i.e.; autox, canyon crusing, quick acceleration and mpg. I would calculate tire diameter and rear end ratio with each gear of the 6L80 gears to determine your max rpms in each gear. Also, has your redline been increased from the factory 6200 redline due to mods or a tune? I think you would like to cross the line in 4th before it shifts to fifth. Again, there are a lot of variables that should be calculated, traction, rpms in each gear, etc. First gear could be unusable with 3.91's if you can't gain good traction. Good luck.
