price increase in relation to order date

to keep things straight,
does the price (MSRP) at the time the order was placed (between 3/16/09 and 4/8/09) become your purchase price, or am i subject to the Apr. 9th increase (obviously we don't know what is increasing)?

yes my dealer is selling at msrp max.

thanks

Your purchase price is what you pay. Not the April 9th price increase.

What my dealer told me (and what makes sense) is that your price will remain at the pre-order price if you have the pre-order identifier on your work book order. Can't remember the identifier off the top of my head.

Look toward the end of Accurate Order thread RPO explaines this in a little more detail....The sticker will show the new price. Then the dealer gets a credit that they may or may not pass on. Many of us purchased at MSRP. Now some dealers think that deal means whatever the MSRP is when the car is built not what it was when ordered...Then they will keep the credit from GM. It really depends on the honesty and greed of the individual dealer. I am worried that I may be in for a battle but I must say that I have not had this conversation with them yet.....Just a gut feeling. Hope GM figures out the best way to guarantee the price protection that they guaranteed to the pre orders is to discount the MSRP on the sticker

Unless you have a purchase sheet with the price listed, signed.
I ordered mine after the closing of the pre-order sales, but have a locked-in price. Work with your dealer, most are not out to screw you.
