I had a situation with a 2006 G6 Manual tranny defects and the GM rep did represent GM, so your hopes are on you and not on him....Whish you good luck.

Be prepared to defend yourself. My local GM rep acted like a lawyer and was trying to convince me that modifing my car voids the warranty. He even went on Camaro5 and read all my posts looking for something to use against me. After I left, he placed restrictions on my warranty. You can read the details at this post:

Hope you made sure there was no rubber from spinning your tires in the wheel well. I have heard they have voided the warranty if they find that to some members back in 2010.

GM rep has to come out if the warranty repair is above a certain $$$. Had that happen on my 08 silverado when there was RUST on the frame the day I bought it! wtf!!??

clutch

Usually the clutch is a wear item not covered under warrantee, They nee the reps signature to "approve " the job as warantee..
