Anyone ever heard of this?
http://www.ecpinc.net/
My dealership was trying to tell me that this is a must have thing on my car, the full car protection thing. Its supposed to protect the paint basically. Has anyone heard of this or actually got it done? Thanks, Jay |

I clicked on the Environmental Paint Protection, and no text appeared...just blank under the title.
I always get leery of these dealer items like this. They charge a ton of money and the product is never as good as it says...you still gotta wax the car in the end.

I've heard of this...it's basically buying dinner for the sales manager. The best way to care for your paint is to care for it yourself.

Yeah i agree that its just a ploy. The only thing that has me thinking about doing it is the fact that this company gives you a 5 year warranty on the paint, 250$ for ding/scratch repair, and will fix any rips or anything in the seats or food spills on the carpet. Thats really the only thing that has me thinking about having this done. There's no way that getting this put on could hurt my car in any way is there?

It depends how it is applied. Usually it's the lot boy using shop towels or worse yet, a rotary buffer. Both will damage the paint. Ask to see the application on another car.

You're better off to go with Opti-Coat 2.0 if you don't want to wax your car ever.
