discounts on a ZL 1?

Does anyone know if the Z will be excluded from any discounts? My dads company supplies parts to auto manufactures and is given the supplier discount on new cars. If I order at msrp can they deny the discount at signing?

Be upfront with your dealer about any expected. You don't want to spend any unnecessary time dealing with them that you could be using to drive your Camaro instead. If you can't trust your dealer, find one with a good reputation here on Camaro5. Tell them about your relationship with GM.

Yes they can and most likely will deny supplier pricing discounts at this time. USAA discount may be the only one you can get, if you quaiify

GM Supplier Discount can be denied the dealer, I know because my work also allows it. Best thing to do is first find dealers at MSRP with allocation then see which will allow the GM Supplier Discount. Make sure you get it in writing if you find one that will allow it.

EDIT: btw, I didn't find one by me that allowed it with MSRP for the ZL1 so good luck.

I have msrp if I want it. Ill have to discuss it with my friends dad who is the one who tells me I can get a deal through him. I just don't know what color I want. I love rjt and crt isn't thrilling me. And I don't have to put any money down to order it.

I happen to have a discount coupon as listed above. It is no good to me. If you go to GM's web site and look up the coupon eligibility it specifically stated that the ZL1 and Volt are not eligible for discounts. Too bad!

GM credit card reward points should still be valid up to at least $500. off
the price. Comes straight from GM, and does not affect any of the profit
the dealer will recieve. Get a card and start charging up things you would normally buy with another credit card. It's not a huge amount but ever little bit adds up in savings.

The supplier discount is completely optional as it is. The dealer does not have to honor it. It says it right on the gm supplier discount website. With the limited number of ZL1's being produced, they will most likely not honor the discount. I have the supplier discount as well and have already been told no by my dealer. Be happy with MSRP because there are some that aren't as fortunate.

For the ZL1 specifically, no GM employee pricing or GM Supplier pricing discounts will be available for 2012........... I checked, and verified it direct with FBODFATHER himself............

How much of a discount can USAA give you and is it only for military?

$750 is the discount and you need to be a full benefits member of USAA... If you or one of your parents were ever in the military you would quaify.

The cool thing is this one is no sweat off the dealerships back since it comes from GM and the dealership does not have to pay it. So that's why it can be used when other discounts are at the dealers discretion.
