TBD. Most likely that the eliminator that works on the current LS3 Corvettes will be the one to use. That or a custom one for the Camaro will be made no doubt.

Unless you drive like a crippled woman, you will never encounter the 'skip shift' feature. All the talk about it is overblown.

Shift out of 1st after the light on the dash goes out.

Aha! Good to know. I also heard the manual has no lift to shift. Is that true? ...and no I didn't do a search first - sorry

The vehicle's PCM determines vehicle speed and RPM to determine whether or not to allow you to shift from 1-2-3-4. If it detects that you are casually driving and not hitting high RPM, it will not let you shift into 2nd or 3rd gear, but rather from 1 to 4 in an effort to save fuel. Nobody has ever liked this feature in these cars, but it does get GM through some federal fuel consumption standards.

If the Vette part doesn't work, I give it 2 weeks before a company makes a CAGS! module for these cars. A CAGS! module is an intermediary connector that disables the skip shift feature.

if you're in competitive mode, you sure won't be driving calmly eough to even encounter skip-shift

If you are "babying" your car you'll bump into the CAGS, but you can always:

1. Add a little more throttle to get the RPM's past 2500 before attempting your shift or

2. Go into 3rd gear.

Before I installed the CAGS by-pass on my 06 vette, I routinely shifted 1-3-5. There's more than enough torque to eliminate any issues.

But if driven aggressively you'll never activate the CAGS.

Please stop obsessing over this. It's not that big of a deal.

Skip shift will rarely come into effect for most of us. I will keep mine for a while and see how much of a pain it is. I drove my buddies corvette for several days and never had it happen so I assume it will be the same with the Camaro
