ORDER NOT GONE THROUGH

Hey guys!
I'm having some trouble getting information and I was wondering if y'all could help out. I secured an allocation at a dealership back in November and told them all the options I wanted for the car. Unfortunately, though, my dealer keeps telling me that she hasn't been able to place the order with GM yet. Is this a common issue right now? Is there a list of when each dealership will be able to place orders?? I'm getting worried that we're getting the run-around and might not even get a 2012 after all. Someone please help me out! Thanks!

If they are indeed supposed to receive a ZL1 -- they should be able to show you proof of that via a message they rec'd from GM.

They should also be able to show you a 6-digit order number (combination of letters and numbers) to show that GM has acknowledged the order.

That said - it does not mean that your ZL1 will be built right away - there's a slow ramp-up - and we build them thru early June.

Okay. Well the last time I spoke to her she said that she tries to input the order every Thursday but it simply hasn't gone through yet. I find this odd because they are supposed to receive two cars for the 2012 model year and two for 2013, of which I hold the number 1 allocation for 2012. Do you suppose that means the dealership will not be receiving a car at all?

If you are wanting to place a ZL1 order and your dealer cant produce you an order number then they dont have an allocation to sell and you better go looking elsewhere.

GM has picked up your order!

rogerspt, you need to get an order workbench number from your dealer.

mmmmm....kinda sorta - it means that GM has accepted the order and it has run thru the Edit tables and is "buildable" - it does not necessarily mean that the dealer has allocation.

No dealer knows their allocation for 2013.

I thought once it went to GM you were good.

I like what Scott said and that the ZL-1 is going to be built until June. That's a lot of time to pump out some Camaros (all models)

Look up, You have plenty of time for your car to be built. If GM takes notice that the ZL-1 is turning into a very sellable vehicle they will do what ever it takes to fill those orders.

Remember they are a sale based company,(wait all companies are..right?) So if the ZL-1 brings in a high demand and is profitable to GM, you bet your booty they will try to fit as many as they can to boost the yearly sales numbers.
