anyone have any dealings with esurance for car insuance?

it's time for my auto insurance renewal and I'm shopping around to see if I can find a better quote than my current coverage with State Farm.

I called esurance and they have a very attractive quote but I'm looking for any opinions from anyone that's had or has coverage with this company.

they advertise that they are an Allstate company so it sounds like the company should be pretty legit. of course you never know...

any good or bad experiences with esurance?

I don't know about Esurance, although I am with AllState and they are wonderful.

I tried to get a quote from them once but they didn't offer coverage in the state I was in at the time (Alaska)... But since you mentioned it, I thought I would get a quote now that I am home in Oregon... The quote I just received was $711.22 for 6 months, which is MORE THAN DOUBLE what I am currently paying.

We just dealt with one of their adjusters, and while I cannot comment on the service prior to the accident, I can comment on the service post problem. They were slow to respond, and slow to send a check, but the issues with the car were not overlooked, and not skrimped.

Short of a delay, my customer is happy with them.

Im 18, full coverage 500$ deductible and the premium is 1200$ keep in mind that no insurance company would even insure me. I have no accidents and no tickets period. 711$ is a gift to me.

On another note, I just clicked on "Compare Quote" (with other companies) after I entered all my info, and on the next page, Esurance was also in the list of other companies, but was $102 cheaper than the quote I had gotten on the first page, with the same coverages, etc that I had selected before... Must be their last ditch effort to get your business.

I pay $646 a year for the Camaro (full coverage 100k/300k, $500 ded), and liability only on my 93 F250 diesel.

I have State Farm, and while they may not have the best rates in the business they have TOP notch service, are very quick in dealing with your problem, and will take care of you first then go after the other insurance company if there are problems getting them to get their act together. I've had them my entire driving career (since 1993). You may find a cheaper price, but I don't know if the grass is necessarily greener on the other side, if you catch my drift.

No but if that's your agent I think I would stick around.

+1 here. Not only will they go after the other guys insurance, they will MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS FIXED RIGHT.

We had an accident with one of our other cars and they sent a specialist out to test the paint thickness, use UV to see if there were over/undersprays, etc. Best repair job I have ever seen, after they put it back in for more work from the first time. I would never have been able to strong arm a body shop like they did.

I use esurance (now owned by Allstate btw) and have had insurance with them for over 2 years. I recently had an accident in my camaro and had a check from them within the week for repairs so no complaints there. I actually switched from USAA to esurance due to USAA continually increasing their rates. I'm sure you'll find good and bad reviews for just about every insurance company out there so it's really up to you and what you're looking for in an insurance company

Until the guy that hits you also has State Farm. Then they screw you over...
