Oops, I did it too!
My wife thinks I'm crazy and she may be right. Bought a beautiful, fast 2011 IBM 1LT RS ten months ago. REALLY liked everything about that car. Traded it in on a 2010 2SS RS M6 with 2,250 miles on it in perfect shape last night!
 (Pic of the front view from the dealer lot is my avatar now; I'll post more soon.) I wasn't even really thinking about going V8 that much but was trolling listings within a reasonable mile range about a week ago when I spotted this car and became obsessed. It is flawless, has every possible option (except sunroof which I didn't really want this time around) including the GM GFX. The auto V6 was very quick (more than I ever really needed) but the V8, OMG!!!!! In a different post a few days ago I solicited people's opinion what would be a good price out the door for a car like this and really appreciate all the varying responses. Personally, I think I got a good deal that I can live with and a killer APR to boot so I'm happy on that front also. I'm still kind of in shock that I have a different car today than I did yesterday but I do have the proverbial permagrin working! |

i was going to buy the v6 and a salesman let me test drive an ss for fun and i was hooked!!!! best 10k i ever over spent lol!!!!!

I went backwards myself...went from a V10 to a V8...couldn't be happier!

Congrats! This post made me smile.
I was initially going to buy a V6 for slightly better fuel efficiency and lower cost, but my girlfriend knows me and told me that I wouldn't be happy anytime a V8 would be next to me...so I went with the V8, I'm loving it.

I too went from a 6 to an 8. First v8 i've ever owened actually and holly crap. In love all over again.
