not too good to be true. Even if the next GT500 has higher HP numbers, the styling of this generation Camaro wins hands down for the vast majority of Americans interested in pony cars... I am 85% sure that if I can afford it I will get a ZL1 for a weekend car and drive a boring sedan or wagon every other day (hauling kids most likely) The only thing that would keep me from getting that car is if the next gen was even better looking, and not just a mild refresh on a smaller platform. I am not a Camaro loyalist, but this car even with its flaws is absolutely one of the well executed cars on the market. The Top dog ZL1 of course will fetch the most dollars in future auctions against the competition today.

This probably would hold true if you had it towed to your climate controlled garage and set it up on blocks. Also if Chevy decides to make it a limited production. Once you drive the car and put mileage on it all bets are off. I look at the 2007 GT500 most considered them to be collectable, purchase prices were up in the mid 50s. Now they are dipping into the high 20s, even mint preserved models low 30s. Bad investment.

Purchase the ZL1 to drive the pants off of it, not to make an investment.
