How much could I buy a used 2SS/RS for next year?

Hello! Been checking out this site daily since January! Great forum with wonderful pics and info!
In March, my wife got her a new toy (Black 09 Sahara Unlimited) and now we're preparing for my dream vehicle Financially wise, however, I'm going to wait until next year to clear up some debt and save for a larger down-payment...
...I would hope that by next year, due to increased supply and heavier-stocking (to our advantage, I could purchase one at invoice or less (~$35000)? OR; seeming that GM vehicles have a greater depreciation than others ...... would it be possible to purchase one with less than 20,000 miles for $27-$29,000??! Does this seem within the realm of possibility?

Realm of possibility? I'd have to say NO... No one is getting rid of their car... EVER!! At least i wouldn't!

But to answer your question seriously.. Yeah i'm sure you'd be able to find one well under 20,000 miles... And possibly in that price range.

The only way to truly find out is wait roughly 365 days.... but i would guess that their wont even be used ones for sale a year from now. thats around the time people will be able to just freely walk in and buy one IMO

I doubt you'll be able to find it for that much. They will probably go for about $1000 below whatever invoice is.

Wrong, people get rid of stuff for various reasons
1) financial
2) Military(going out of country)
3) moving
4) Family

Financial is always the major kicker though. You will find some lightly used ones, more than likely from private sellers and they'll ask for max kbb.
I think you'd be able to get a nice deal on '10 v6 when the '11 are due out. the ss's will be hard to find at any dealer IMO. Private sector for ss's.

By the time Im ready to buy one, Im hoping I can also pick from a used lot with low mileage on the car or at least a wide selection on new Camaro SS's at the dealership. Whichever comes first!

You never know... someone might trade one in for one with a feature the current models don't have. They may want the HUD or a convertable.

I doubt there will be any substantial number of these cars on the used market that soon. I'd look for used challengers on cars.com and compare those prices against msrp to see the percent change. That may be a good guide. Any money you save may be off set by having to travel to get it or have it shipped to you. Along with the fact you may have to compromise on color, equipement and model.

I think there will be more than we think. Unfortunately, many people will buy the car who can't really afford it which will cause either them to sell it or get repossessed. Also, I am sure there are people who order or plan on buying that are young and starting a family and will have to trade it in for a "family" vehicle. It's just the way life goes. Only the enthusiast and collectors will keep this car no matter what. Just my opinion.

P.S. I guess I fall in the semi young category but not starting a family

It will depend on how many are made and sell. Normally you should be able to find one with low miles in that price range when a year old. Maybe even a little less. GM may have some rebates or ther deals on new ones by next year and that will drive the price of used one down as well.
