Mulholland Hooliganism

After attending Supercar Sunday this past weekend (more on that later) a friend and I decided to go have some fun canyon driving and head to Mulholland Drive in Malibu, CA so we could have some fun with our cars. On the way up the mountain we got stuck behind a slow pick-up truck and then a slow Harley, but we made the best of it. Lucky for us they moved out of our way by the time we made it to "The Snake" which is the most famous and most treacherous stretch of Mulholland.

We arrived at the scenic view point right above the snake to find a Lamborghini Countach ready for us to drool all over it as well as a nice old Bentley. Matt Farah was also there with a Porsche Cayman R.

We experienced almost 2 hours of sheer hoonage after that since there appeared to be no cops in sight. We saw plenty of cars and bikes scream by doing fly by's, burnouts, bikes doing wheelies and handstands. It was just insane. The fact that the only notable incident to happen was an old guy dropping his bike as he was trying to pull out of where he had stopped was quite miraculous.

Eventually a cop showed up and things cooled down for a bit, but once he was gone the hooliganism continued.

Below is a selection of what we saw during those few hours we spent up on "The Snake."

Bentley looks like a big fat porker with stripes on it. It's like trying to put stripes on an Ambulance to make it look like a race car. Don't bother.

Damn, the one Sunday I didn't go to the Rock Store, all this happened! This stuff is pretty much every weekend 10 months of the year. A guy normally sits to the side and snaps photos as you drive up or down that snaky stretch then posts them on his site and you can buy it. That stretch owes me two sportsbike and a right fender of 2001 M3. Best time is when Tanner Foust drives up and down the snake. That dude can freaking drive in the twisties!
