Tail-Light Bulbs keep going out? After-burners responsible?

Are the after-burners to blame for this?
I've had two bulbs go out in the last month or so...

Also note that I have the bulbs' little wires cut so that my afterburners are my parking lights at night.

Please help!

I had one of mine go out last week. Replaced mine with the bulb I uses in the video for you lol i don't think there is any direct relation. Probably just fluke to be honest but I am curious. Never heard of anyone else having problems. Remember you shouldn't touch the tail light bulb either. The oil on your fingers will make them burn out easier

Did you t-tap into the wire or did you just cut and splice? You might want to check that the wiring is all water tight. I had that problem last year a couple times. After I rewrapped everything in electrical tape it was fine.

Well I don't really know whether or not it was t-tapped or just cut and splice... I didn't install them myself!

What should I do? I mean the whole thing may just be a coincidence... but my car is my DD so I want to get to the bottom of the problem (if there is one.)

check the wiring and see if it looks water tight. You can pretty much tell right away if the wires were t-tapped or spliced.

I don't even know what t-tapped or spliced look like... How can I tell?
Sorry, I'm really not knowledgeable on a lot of these things...

if it's a t-tap you will see a blue (or possibly red) piece of plastic sticking off of the wire. The afterburner wire then will go into the blue (or possibly red) plastic piece.

If it's spliced, then you won't see anything. It'll look like the afterburner wire just kind of merges into the other wire.
