Ss vs 2011 g37s coupe

Okay before I posted about a G vs my v6 but today I was in my friends stock ss driving around NYC. There are a lot of Gs out here. However one pulls up too us. Winds down his window and says he will eat us. I just laughed and told my friend don't even waste gas on him. He sped off in his car. Could he have actually beat us? Well the real question is would you have come close? And he said his car was stock.

Unless he is supercharged, then it won't even be close. Trust me on this one. It would be close between a full bolt on and tuned SS versus supercharged G though.

"will eat you."
Should have told him to run to Mc Donalds if he was hungry.

I get those guys speeding past me in traffic and trying to impress me. They usually put a K&N intake on their car and they think they can beat a Corvette.

I rocked a G37 with exhaust intake and tune. My worst run of the night beat him.... 12.5.

Camaro all the way.

G37
Curb Weight - 3633(RWD) 3830(AWD)
HP - 330@7000
price (base) - 38,000

Camaro SS
Curb Weight - 3849
HP - 426@6000
Price (base) - 32,000

Weight Diff - 216(RWD) 19(AWD)
HP Diff - 96
Price Diff - 6000

Camaro > G37, ALL DAY LONG

EDIT: I'm just trying to figure out why the G37 Costs so much more... I mean the interior is better... but not 6000 Dollars better.

I guess that Infinity emblem is made out of pure Platnum

Yea. But it's a v6 engine right? They would beat at camaro v6 quite easily.

Yes it would...

Camaro LT (V6)
Curb Weight - 3780
HP - 314('10) 323('11 up)

He's got more power, revs higher, and the RWD is lighter. (AWD) will get the launch on you every time.

EDIT: Remember he may beat the V6, but it won't be a slaughter... in fact in most cases... it could easily come down to a driver race... but the numbers are on the G37 side (V6 Only).

Its all about the weight and gearing.

If the Camaro weighed what it should we wouldn't be having these conversations.

The engine in the G37 and 370Z is no more impressive to me than the current Camaro V6 engine. Throw the LFX in a Camaro that weighs 3,400 lbs with the same gearing these cars have and then see how close it is.

Camaro V6 would be in the 12s with a similar crop of bolt ons that we have for the LLT.
