Drive shaft

I bent my drive shaft grabbing a nasty second gear, the tires did not slip at all. Has anyone else have this happen? I had just got my car back from Tom Henry Racing so I'm pushing around 470 hp to the rear wheels. Anyone have any recommendations on which new drive shaft to purchase?

Single piece drive shaft.

I'm waiting to see how long it takes me to bend mine at 630rwhp on slicks. xD

because the tires didnt slip, the driveshaft bend. you hooked real good in second gear.
the drive shaft shop has your cure.

My brother and I jacked the car up and rotated the wheels and you could plainly see the wobble towards the rear.

I would suggest the Aluminum 1 piece driveshaft from DSS.

Are you sure you just didn't bend or sheer one of the rear bolts? I have seen that a couple of times. Throw some stronger bolts in there and you're golden.

the stock tube is very thin, even with the Guibo's the tube will let go sooner or later, the center spline is also suspect to twist. i have had quite a few calls about the spline being twisted on the center. the realized this when the shaft could not be compressed to be pulled out.

Bent shafts are pretty common, if you would of hit it a little harder it probably would of twisted up like a pretzel.
Our new Dynotech shafts are pretty amazing, light weight and bolt right in.
Give us a call if you have any questions.

Thanks
Chris

Go with a DSS (Drive Shaft Shop) 1-piece aluminum or carbon fiber.
