strange amp problem
ok, finally got the sub and sub amp working with the fark kit, but.... I also installed an aftermarket amp for the main speakers, I hooked it all up and it worked, for about 5 minutes, then after that it did not give me any amplified sound, the amp had 12 volts to it, ground good, the green power light was on, but, the logo for the amp which lit blue earlier was no not powering on, i had sound but not amplified sound which i found weird as i thought once off the original amp if my aftermarket amp was bad i would get no sound? what does this sound like? a bad amp maybe? I did cut the orange wire and add the resistor per fark install instructions, if this would cause my problem let me know, i did find after searching for loose connections that the resistor that you are suposed to ground broke off, so basically that was not intact, could that be the problem? hope i didnt confuse and i hope you all dont think i am a pain ion the butt, i thought i did a great job but now this problem, as i said what type of problem would be caused if that resistor was bad or not connected?
