How often do you need to put air in your tire?

I notice that the air pressure somehow goes down in my tires. Usually down a pound or two! Anyone else have this problem? Do you think I have a bad seal? Will the dealer warranty this? Can I sue GM or Pirelli?

How often do you have to add air?

In two and a half years I have only added air a couple of times. Is it all four tires or just one of them?

I thought I was the only one with this issue. I also noticed that my tires read lower when sitting in the garage than they do after I've been driving for a while.

Typically all 4 lose an equal amount. Can I trust the DIC? I usually keep them about 34/35 psi per my air gauge but sometimes the tire pressure light is on and when I flip through all 4 are typically the same, just low... Maybe 31/32 psi?

Temp changes your air pressure up for warmer down for colder, read this:

DUH , friction makes the air temperature rise ,hence expending therefore pressure going up .

How often do I need remove the trunk carpet so the exhaust gasses can escape since they seep in there?

Months go by with nothing, then I'm adding air here and there. Definitely temperature related.

I've also noticed that if I have one window open and one closed at high way speeds that the air pressure inside the car seems to rise. Ive had it to the dealer repeatedly and they think the fan goes into super high speed mode and compresses more air inside the car but don't know why. My tires always have more air in them than recommended when I get it out in the spring than it did prior to over inflating them before storage. My dealer has been in contact with Goodyear on this but they don't seem to know very much about the Pirellis. I think I'm going to check into lemon laws over these obvious manufacture defects.

Go troll somewhere else!

Exhaust gasses don't seep in the trunk. It's CO2 that's exhaled and builds up in there.

Oh ok. Thank you for the clarification IROCanSS. I will install a CO2 detector back there

Good idea. Don't want the trunk monkey getting poisoned.
