Closest Color Match To Current Non-Chevy Color - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey Everyone - long time lurker here only recent active poster. I'm closer to pulling the trigger on a Camaro every day - but in the mean time I plan!

Currently I drive a 'Velocity Red' Mazda 3 and was love the color to death - was wondering how everyone feels about it and what color it is a closest match to - be it RJT, CRT, or VR.

Let me know what you think - some of the reds (RJT for example) look ridiculously bright in some pictures / lights in person - and I feel it's the closest - until I see a dark picture or another picture of CRT. So I could use some help!

i would think victory red would be the closest to that RJT and CRT are both metallic paints and i look darker than thous pics

This is actually a metallic as well - just can't see it in this - here's a picture of the metallic plus a dark photo

Let me know if you still lean to VR - thanks for advice!

hmm yea if you want the metallic you would be going with CRT or RJT and if your want a 12 or 13 youll be getting a CRT as RJT was discontinued

Thanks for the assistance - I'm leaning to CRT right now - in the end I'll probably go there. But I'd still like to hear everyone's opinion on closest match.

Knowing the color of that Mazda 3 being that my wife's sister has one that color, and knowing RJT from my mom's old 2LT Camaro, I'd say the closest match is going to be Crystal Red Tintcoat for sure.

If its metallic, get CRT. VR will disappoint you, as it can go flat at certain angles and in direct sunlight.

RJT is not produced anymore and is a bit darker than CRT, so CRT is closer, even though your mazda seems to be even a bit lighter than CRT.
