This story just popped up in my head so I figured I would share it. Kinda funny lol.

So when I was in the market looking at 2012 Camaro 2SS's they gave me a 2012 2SS Convertible with 1 mile on it to test drive. I was pretty excited lol. So I got the keys and they said "have it back in 30 mins" and I said "yessir" then I hopped in. I pulled out of the dealership and started cruising and at 3 miles the engine starts rattling then about 10 seconds later started smoking and the overheating alarm started charming in. So I pulled over. I thought "sweet, I am in a 43 thousand dollar car and I just murdered it." I popped the hood and checked the oil...there was no oil to be checked. These guys gave me a Camaro that was bone dry on oil. I haven't the slightest clue how they got it on the delivery truck in the first place. So I called my salesman and this guy had the nerve to ask me to walk back to the dealership (I am about a mile away). I told him no way and to get someone out there to get his car and me. I got back and he apologized and said they must have forgot to put oil in the car. I said "yea well thats a good 15 thousand dollar mistake there". They called me back the next day and tried to sell me this car

Little addition here since some people aren't believing me:
Call bs as much as you'd like I am just telling you the story. You are welcomed to call McClusky Chevrolet and confirm it lol. I don't think they would say they let that happen but give it a shot. Somehow the car was put out without oil. The engine overheated. When an engine in a g5 Camaro overheats an alarm goes off that tells you to turn off the engine ASAP. I am not going to try to defend myself though, I am just telling what happened goodness.

if you had the car with 1 mile on it, and you were cruising and started having problems at 3 miles...wouldn't that then mean you were more like 2 miles from the dealership? lol

ya ive heard of it, good thing I didnt go there. I bought mine at jack maxton in columbus. But, I had them bring it my car from indiana because I didnt want a front plate, and the holes behind it. haha

Pretty crazy. I personally have never seen a 5th gen with less than 4 miles on it at delivery time.
