Zl1 or 2012 Transformers Camaro

Hi guys,
I am a new Camaro 5 member. I am a new member but i have been following Camaro 5 for a few years and decided to sign up. I currently own a 2012 ss transformers edition and I am debating the fact of upgrading to a ZL1. Has anyone driven the ss and Zl1 before that can maybe offer me some advice whwether or not i should upgrade ?

Yep I have. It's like night and day. The ZL-1 is so much better of a machine.

thank you I bet !!! The biggest things holding me back is that I love my transformer and there where only a limited production. If i trade it in they are offering me 38k and i paid 46k and the dealership wants 63k otd for the zl1. I guess i have alot of thinking to do.

He said $63k OTD..that is actually MSRP + TAX. I only have the Exposed CF insert option and mine was almost $62k OTD and I got the $600 insert waived by GM for the QC holdup.

63k OTD (Out The Door) is far from mark up city. That's tax, license and fees included.

A ZL1 is a different drive. I do like the transformer edition, but again the ZL1 is a different drive. $30k more difference as well.

I haven't driven either but I say go for the ZL1 if you're comfortable with it!

The TF edition is pretty awesome, but the ZL1 is in another league! I had a 2011 2SS/RS that I traded for the ZL1, and as long as you're OK with taking the loss, I'd say go for it. You won't be disappointed.

There's another thread in this forum asking About the differences between the SS and the ZL1. You might find some interesting comments in it. The ZL1 is in another league, not just another package. I haven't driven an SS, but the ZL1 has the ability to cruise softly or pack a great handling punch you would have to spend a lot of $ to attempt to achieve. The MR suspension combined with stunning head-turning looks and the whine of the supercharger is amazing.
