We have narrowed it down to CGM, VR or SIM - 2SS/RS M6 with sunroof.

So earlier this week I got to spend some quality time with vin 0398. A 1LT/RS VR dealer car. I got there and the car was out side, open for viewing. Salesman comes out and I toss him the key fob for the C6 and tell him to get an appraisal while we go for a test drive. On the test drive I was throughly impressed with pretty much everything about the car's behavior.

I, however, was not impressed with the cloth seats. I think the leather looks better though I have never seen it up close. So... we are going tomorrow to look at a 2LT SIM...more about that later.

The V6 is OK, nothing spectacular but nice for a V6. Still sounds like a V6 but eh whatever I knew I didn't want a V6 to begin with. So we get back and the guy tries his best to get me to take it home that night. Offering to add leather AND sell it to me for GMS! I told I am sorry but the V6 just isnt going to cut it.

Back to the 2LT. Did a little research and found one in SIM so we are going to go look at that tomorrow to get a feel for the leather and see the SIM in person. Also we are going today to look at a 1SSRS CGM, vin 7865, that another dealer has. It is $3000 mark up but they are willing to GMS + $3000, which is basically MSRP. Its hard not to but we are not going to do that b/c we want the 2SS. Good note is it will allow us to see the CGM in person.

After we see the other two colors and choose, the order goes in Monday! I am really excited and the dealer claims he will do GMS on an order and that they have 4 allocations left this months so the order should go right in... They claim 6-8 weeks
