Mag Ride Control Module replaced today

Well 400 miles in and the mag ride control module shit the bed. I think GM most have known about the issue as the new module had a new part number. Our car was # 33 so I would consider it an early build.

I noticed one day that neither of the control buttons where working. We diagnosed it here with a MDI box and then contacted our dealer. They confirmed it was the module as well and it was done the next day.

Just an FYI in case someone has a similar issue.

Hey George. Tour mode rides softer, handles rough pavement better, and has less steering feel than sport mode. You should be able to tell a difference. It's not night and day, but is noticeable.

For sure. If you really want to feel the difference go into track mode then back to touring. You'll really feel every little bump then.

I doubt we will see many go bad but it is what it is. This now explains why my 60's the last couple times out where horrible.

Not too mention the car on the highway felt like a 1982 Labaron with four drained shocks! I guess when the module goes there is ZERO dampening.

I guess the new module is suppose to make the car go faster....

I have as well and noticed a HUGE difference. Especially on the power tour. when cruising down a bumpy road toggle between the two you will see the difference on how firm the bumps are. Ive been an auto tech for over 10 years and have become very sensitive to ride and noises. it was the second thing i got giddy about with the car.

My GF commented on how much better the ZL1 rides than my Honda yesterday. I keep it in tour mode a lot. I almost picked another resteraunt since it was recommend not to take the ZL1 because of parking.
