Splitter and lowering question

Hi, I want to add the street scene front splitter, but I also want it lowered. My question is: does anybody have the street scene splitter and a lowered car (and if so, how low can you go ) and what has been your experience with that set up? I just want to make sure I can do both before I buy anything.

How low are you planning on dropping your car?

I don't have a Street Scene splitter (I have SLPs), and I'm getting my car lowered 1" on Monday.

You will have no problem lowering your car with the Street Scence splitter. Lots of guys have their car lowered with that splitter.
But the lower you drop your car, the more likely it will be that you hit it on something (parking curbs, etc).

So once your car is lowered, you need to pay close attention to pulling into parking spots, etc.

With my car the stock height, With my SLP splitter I can just barely go over top of most parking curbs without touching them. But after Monday, I'm going to have to make sure I stop before the front of my car gets to the parking curb.

Thanks, I wanted to get the acs splitter, but after reading some of these threads, I found out that there was virtually no clearance with the splitter and lowered, so I wanted to check and make sure that wasn't the case with street scene's splitter. Longest run on sentence FTW.

I had it on my v6 lowered with Hotchkiss 1" drop springs.On the driveway incline need to take it easy but only just shaved off some off the bottom nose of the spliter so not bad.need to watch all the other bumps out there though but never really a big problem

Ok, cool, so you think 1" is the lowest I could go?

Or you could go with air, push a button and never worry about damaging your splitter and still ride low.

That's a pretty cool setup. Can you adjust the firmness of the ride along with the height?
Or do you just lower the car (firm ride) and raise it (soft ride)?


To the O.P.
I measured the clearance on my car (stock height) with the SLP Splitter and its just over 6.5". So I'll be looking at 5.5" of clearance after I get my 1" drop.

That would be a good question. I also want to know about the ride quality. Also, is the setup heavy? - probably need some type of air compressor/tank that hold air?

With most splitters on otherwise stock cars you can definitely run a modest drop, like the 1.25" drop with our drop spring packages.

You will have to be careful coming in and out of driveways, and not to run up on curbs while parking... but you will have the best of both worlds at that point, the splitter you want with the stance you need!

Ive got the Pfadt springs and the factory GFX and ive had zero problems. I have to go slow backing out the garage down the driveway, but its steep and I had to go slow even on stock springs.

Just always back into parking spaces and you'll never have to worry!

So simple yet such a good idea. I need to teach myself to back into parking spots. It shouldn't be that big of an issue since I usually park far away.
