Trade in 2010 SS for 1LE and swap engines?

Do you think a dealer would go for this?
I'd like to trade in my 2010 LS3 SS on a 2013 1LE but I want to keep my engine, so dealer gets a trade in with a brand new LS3 and I get the 1LE with my 418 LS3.

Not at all... unless you find a really cool dealer. Telling them that the car does not have a numbers matching engine, will hurt your trade in. Brand new or not. That will most likely make it an auction car instantly and kill trade in. I would find an LS3 used and swap it before ever talking to the dealer. Then you can have a spare engine or sell the brand new one to recoup the cost.

How much money do you have in your engine? Have you looked to see if it's cheaper to just trade and mod the 1LE? That engine in a 1LE would make an awesome combo though, have to admit.
