******** 12" Integrated Amp/Sub/Stealth Enclosure Install?

Has anyone installed one of these? I've got everything ready to go but I'm not sure about installing the wiring kit for power. Are there some idiot proof instructions or videos that would show me how to do this? I've already got the ******** T-harness installed and the carpet pulled out so once I'm comfortable setting up the power I should be ready to go.

I probably should have gotten someone to help me out with this but I thought I'd figure it as I went. Do I need to disconnect the battery while I install everything? Am I about to electrocute myself?

I don't have this kit, but I would imagine that it installs like any other amp. disconnect negative battery terminal. run power from + terminal, install the fuse between battery and amp. remote power from harness to Amp. ground wire from amp to a good ground locations ( should be able to ground to battery since it is in the trunk ) hook up your - battery terminal and that's it.

you could always ask steve from ******** for install help as well.

I did mine a few weeks ago. If you're near me, Boca Raton area, I'd be happy to help you. It shouldn't take but a few hours.

Otherwise, put the fuse in line on the main power (connect the round grommets and lock them in to the fuse). Then snake the power wire along the other one in the trunk around to where the box will be.

I connected the ground wire to the negative terminal on the battery.

I didn't disconnect the battery but make sure you cap the hot wire until you are ready to connect it to the amp on the box.

No worries on the negative wire.

All of those wires need to be moved out of the way (behind the carpeting) so that the box can slide in. I used the zip tie adhesive squares to tack and zip tie the wire looms to the ceiling and out of the way of the box and to the wall of the vehicle.

Wire up your box and woofer before you put it into the car. Run the DC wire under the edge of the amp and plug them in to the amp at the bottom. That will leave your power wires at the top as well as the turn on lead where they can be neatly tucked away and hidden.

plug the RCA leads into the "add an amp" harness from ******** (I used the rear leads). Connect the extension wire from the wire kit to the white turn on lead on the harness.

Put the most rearward carpeting back in at this point and tuck the add an amp harness. Leave the turn on lead out and run it along the wall (you've got plenty of wire!) and tuck the RCA wires behind the box nicely.

At this point, the amp should be attached to the box and the wire for the speaker connection should be in the box and hanging out of the big round hole in the box but connected to the terminal on the end of the box.

Time to put the box in the trunk. Get her in there and lay it down. Make the speaker connection. Drop the speaker in the hole and screw it down. Carefully (use two people) turn the box on it's side so it's standing up.

Make the speaker connection on the terminal and run that speaker behind the box and over the top... down through the edge of the amp and connect it to the amp.

Time to connect the power! then shove the box back into the wall as far as it will go and boom... you are done!

The ******** kit is great! First look at where you want to mount the amp. I ended up going with the JL900 or something like that....it's 100 x 4 and I forget what is throws out on the woofer, but it jams! I installed my amp underneath the top of the trunk. (out of sight....out of mind) I used some plastic bushings I got from Loews to give it a little spacing between the top of the amp, and bottom/ top side of the trunk. When you get the factory amp out you will see that the wires run all the way up to the rear seat. I snaked mine through the top crossbar where the rear seat hooks in to keep everything clean. Along with running the power wires for the amp, and the two wires going to the speaker box for the woofer. Instead of removing the side carpet for the speaker box to fit all the way in, I cut it to keep it factory looking all the way through. It's pretty simple, and I'm sure you can even put the amp on the passenger side behind the carpet if you wanted, to really hide it.

This thread is the DIY that I did with the ******** 5 channel system. The wiring should be similar. There aren't any videos, but there are lots of pictures.
