V6 Transmission Cooler

Does anyone have any recommendations for a transmission cooler for a 2011 v6 auto? Is it hard to install?

I might remove my front bumper soon and figured I would do it while I do that so I don't have to do it again later... That is if it's not too hard!

A transmission cooler on a v6? Doesn't matter if you buy a name brand or a store brand on that one because it's a waste of money IMO. I don't suppose you have a tranny temp gauge on that thing? It would tell you why you don't need one, unless you're taking that thing to the 24 hour Le Mans or something...

Going to have to agree with HorsePower-Freak, sort of. It depends on what exactly you are doing with your car. I have a trans temp gauge and even though I'm FI'ed even when I run on the track it doesn't get too hot. Not if you want to hot lap it a lot, then sure that might make sense. But for everyday use or time to time track use I do not think it's worth it.

Stock it has a cooler built in and that seems to do the job if you stay stock. If you are going to change the converter, then you will probably want to add an aftermarket cooler. I think the ones you can get at a auto parts store are probably sufficient. Didn't do the install on mine, so I can't tell you how hard it is. You'll have to cut into the existing tubing and of course mount it securely. I would think it would be easier than headers and harder than the CIA.
