Oil Leak. Needs to go back in
Anyone know of a Chevy dealership with top notch service in central Ohio?
My LS3 still has the oil leak after the oil cooler assembly was replaced. I took it to the dealership where I bought it for the oil leak and the spoiler spacer issues. It looks like they handled the spoiler with very little care. I had to rub the scratches in the spoiler out when I got home. They also stated that they had not heard of the oil leak issues with the V8s. So I am not comfortable with taking it back there. BTW The same tech that scratched the spoiler installed the oil cooler. |

IT'S A EASY FIX. there is a TSB on the gasket which is used to connect the oil cooler to the block. It's no biggy. Most dealers have the gasket in stock. And yes some of them don't know about the TSB. It's a half hour job while you wait for the car, can be done when you get the oil changed same time. It's a two inch oval elongated gasket that compresses, sometimes too much because the block there is porous. it can look like it's coming from the filter or pan if you don't keep the underside clean enough to pinpoint it

already changed the TSB gasket (two o-ring gasket) yes it's an easy change. but is hard to tell where the oil leak is coming from if it's in this area. Mine still leaking. I'll deal with it when I put a cam in.
