New SS Owner....What Next?
I just bought a 2010 SS with the following mods (as posted in the ad):
Long Tube Headers with High Flow Cats Flow Master Cat Back exhaust system 180 degree Thermostat Varam Ram air Cold air intake Custom Stripes Phillips 6500 kelvin HID bulbs High performance Plugs, Wires and Heat boots Clear Vinyl paint protector on front hood all of front bumper, mirrors roof, door handles rear trunk bumper etc Carbon window tint which is the Best money can buy Custom tune with a Trinity full Programmer. 2 Alpine DVC 10" subs with custom boxes running off a Punch 1000 watt amp. Advise and thoughts on where I should spend my money next? I have around 3K to spend. Was thinking of starting with a rough idle cam (jre 470). I also think I want to take out the subs and amp. Although I like the bump a little, it seems to compete with the exhaust sound. Thoughts? |

bumperplugs.com has some plugs with what ever color paint u want i had that nasty front liscense plate too and now noone even knows there are plugs there. JRE cam would be a great buy look into what sie headers u have as well 1 3/4 size headers depending on how far u go with this build could be holding u back

remember that Texas State law may not require a front plate mounted to the car but it DOES require a plate visible from the front...

Mgw shifter was and still is one of my best mods. Car feels a lot faster when I can actually shift the damn thing. Like night and day!

I would suggest a Cam and save for the S/C. Cause once that power start coming in you will need a rear end, clutch, axles, suspension pieces and the list can keep growing.
I would suggest you set a HP goal and then get mods that supports that goal. That's what I would do if I was you. |
