Rustling/metal shaving sound in shifter area

I noticed during normal acceleration that there's a rustling coming from under the shifter area. Not exactly sure if it's that spot but sounds like it. It's a light rustling of metal sound. Like small metal shavings are rustling.

Car is a ss manual with Hurst shifter option. It's not the common shifter rattle

Have you had the chance to take it to a GM dealership for a proper diagnosis? They would be in the best position in regards to technical assistance.
