RPM Limit on a stock LSA?

What's the safest RMP shift limit on a stock LSA?

I know I'm always hitting the 6200 limit on the track I'm just curious what you guys have done or seen.

Is it safe to raise the limit a little when getting a tune?

With my current build I was push it to 6800 maybe a little more , I know it was tuned all the way up to almost 6900/7000

It would be nice to hold 3rd or 4th gear a little long on the track

Interesting I never even thought about raising the RPM limit. Now is that really safe for the engine? I would be nervous going over the factory limit, which I know is lower on purpose to avoid warranty issues.

Just curious why raise the RPM limit on a stock motor when maximum hp is achieved at 6000 RPMs?

Well I was just wondering after I install the JRE 125rwhp kit if there is any advantage of doing this.

Guess I'll just ask Ted.

Pushing the stock springs over factory limit, you will get valve float. Buy some BTR springs, swap them out and then take it up to 6500+ safely
