SS at the Dealership - Marriage off to a Rocky Start..(update)

So I took my SS in this morning because scrubbing or rubbing like sound coming for the car when I turn at low speeds. Drives me nuts!! Car has only 2700 miles and this is bit early for an issue. And I inquired about the brakes squeaking all the time...Well, they told me that the sound I'm hearing is actually coming from the rear differential and they would have to take some things apart to figure out what exactly is going on (Great). I asked if this was a recall or anything and they said no. Then they told me that the brakes squeaking is normal because the Brembo's produce so much dust and its just the nature of the beast...hmmm, I use to own a 350Z that had Brembos...never had that issue....anyway, she will be sleeping away from home for about 2 days...hope its nothing serious :(

I had an old chevy van where the rear diff would make a grinding noise, my friend (who was a GM tech) drained the fluid and replaced it with new fluid as well as some sort of lubricant additive and problem solved. As for the brakes the dust story sounds like BS to me, mine make a ton of dust, but no squeak.

Thanks man...but yeah, the brakes squeaking is BS...I just did a search on here and I'm not the only one...this seems to be an issue with the SS...but they are going to correct it...in less than a year I have bought 3 cars from this dealership...

You're dealer is telling you the truth. The noise is from your rear diff, the fluid will have to be changed and the seals will most likely get replaced. It isn't a recall (those are safety related) but I believe it is a TSB (technical service bulletin) which is designed to address a concern if the customer has that specific concern.
And the brakes, yes they do squeak. Don't try to compare it to ANY other car you've owned, driven, seen, heard etc. There are those on here that have changed pads to eliminate the noise, and there are some (myself included) that it doesn't bother.
Keep us posted.

Its just so annoying...and I'm not complainer or is very meticulous about things..its takes alot for me to bring something in...I only get to enjoy this car on the weekends...so I want it to be right...

As far as the brakes go, I installed Hawk Ceremic brake pads to get rid of the dust and squeaking. I can drive hundreds of miles and can't see any dust.

Dealer telling the truth??...now there's a twist...lol...thanks for the input man. I will be happy to get her back safe and sound...as far as the brakes, I'm a bit disappointed to hear that alot people are experiencing this. Maybe I will try changing out the pads...thanks again

The more often you wash the wheels and calipers out the less it will make noise. Don't have to really wash them. Just spray a hose right into the caliper, rotor and the rim. Works for me everytime for a few days.

Just a little tip. Make sure the dealer does a few figure 8s in your car after thay change out the diff fluid. If your service advisor does not know for sure if they did or not, find a empty parking lot and do it yourself. I changed my diff fluid out at 1500 miles and because of the many, many post on here saying to do this(figure 8s), I did. No noise.
