How much scrap money did you get from your stock LS# catback exhaust?

I was just curious how much the stock exhaust weighs. I put on a Borla Atak Catback and have the ugly stock LS3 exhust sitting on my garage floor taking up space. I do not have a truck so I will have to con my friend into taking it to the scrap yard for me. I was just wondering how much it weighs and what you guys have gotten for them.

I cut it up and threw it away in my blue can.

I got the same problem....to make space my exhaust is hanging from the ceiling...Let me know when you go so we can meet and go to the scrap yard together.

I was thinking about the scrap yard on 90 near the 82 intersection. that is the only one i can think of. Either that or put it out by the road with a free sign.

If you have the space to store it, it could be worth some money as folks start needing replacements. Right now, they're a dime a dozen, but one of our club members was quoted $1,800 at the dealership to replace hers.
I didn't have the space or the patience, so I cut mine up along with other scrap. Don't recall what I got for it. Just saved the chrome tips until I figure out what I can make out of them.

Don't scrap your exhaust, make one of these instead.
You could also sell it to a "muffler delete" owner who got too many tickets.

When I did my LT's and exhaust I didn't get much. I don't remember how much it was now but if I knew how little i was going to get I wouldn't have wasted my time cutting it up and hauling it up there.

$0

I was too dirty to put in my car and too bulky to put in my wife's Jeep to take it to a scrapyard for a few bucks.

Mine is up in the attic. From past experiences, I know if I get rid of it, someday I will be kicking myself in the rear wishing I still had it. Same goes for the stock air filter system. It's up there too.
