I've had SC (PD & Centeri) and Turbos. Nothing comes close to the fun Turbo will give you.
If the engine in not build and you're stock internals, just don't go over 7PSI, because your engine life will diminish very quickly. The rings cannot handle the extra heat generated from the boost. If you don't beat up your car, you'll have a safe, fun car for a long time.
I've always added Meth to my F/I cars. This is the best insurance you can add. Especially living in Hot humid Florida, can cause detonation much easier. Meth will keep the air cool, higher octant and keeps the valve and engine clean from carbon.
Second most important is the tune. A good tune with lots of fuel is another safety measure. Make sure the car is not running lean in WOT. A good Fuel Gauge is good to have to watch fuel pressure. As soon as pressure drops, let go of the gas...

Turbo>all. Once some good turbo kits hit the market I hope more people go with them. So much more fun and better performing than superchargers.

Conservative tuning, good octane, and the BEST parts. That's the simple solution to making efficient horsepower, reliable horsepower, and long-lasting fun

Oh and then throw in a Tial BOV & WGate just to piss off the neighbors!

A fuel pressure gage wouldn't hurt. Just to be safe.
