Almost caused an accident

So, I am down the NJ shore, and I am stopped at a red light. I am in the left lane preparing to go straight. All of a sudden a car in the right lane screeches past me slams on the breaks and nearly goes through the red light I was standing at. He almost hits a car coming from the opposite direction, luckily they were able to swerve out of the way. The guy then backs up with his Jeep. I roll down my window and ask if he is ok. He says to me I was looking at your car and did not realize there was a red light.

Anyway glad the guy was ok, I would of been devestated if I caused an accident.

On a postive note..

I have had people do double takes, and I see people on the road pointing at me giving me a thumbs up or shouting nice car. I just want to shoot them back a thumbs up, sorta like this...

Does anyone find it awkward when dudes give you that weird stare? I mean the look I got in my 4th gen by other 4th gens was completely different.

You mean the stare while their jaws are dropping to the floor, kind of stare?

If the guy had hit someone, I wouldn't feel bad. There is really no excuse for running a red light, I don't care how hot the chick or the car is your passing.

My most F'd up story is that I was cruising at about 60 mph on the highway in the left lane and this older woman in a mini-van pulled up to my right and went to give me a thumbs up, but almost hit me doing so and made me swerve a bit into the oncoming lane, thankfully there was no traffic.

Damn I really think that waiting another two years might be better just to avoid some of the things that people are dealing with out there
