Accident just a few days before storing

Have my Camaro since april 2010, no scratch ever. I was just to store it in a few days. But it happened. Went to Canadian Tire (Car Store) and when I was in my lane in front of the customers exit, I did my stop and some fellow, bearing a jacket with a large cap on that he could'nt see sideways, left the strore walkin fast, I strated turning left, but he went to his right for a few steps than he changed direction 90 degree to his left almost running onto my car, just as I was turning left. He did'nt see me and I had to a quick left not to hit him. And there it was in front of me this Handicap Sign that I could'nt see because of the Black Spot from the A pillar on my side. And I did hit it. Splitter is smashed, upper bumper paint scratched and part of the Yellow also.

Here's some pics taken a few minutes after the event and the dammages on the front. The sign post was at over the yellow lines before I hitted it.

Car will go in my garage earley this week after I go see Joe at ACS Composite to see if I can take the splitter off.

ouch! that sucks. good thing you are ok, and didnt hit anybody.

looks like the bumper can be repaired, but that splitter is toast. Maybe time for a ZL1 front.

that's terrible. people in parking lots are just something else. it amazes me they walk out in front of cars and never even look, like it never occurs to them they could actually get hit.

Thanks Gramps. Actually I'm not a ZL1 front bumper fan. I like ACS stuff.

By the way, Nice Wheels.

Actually I go quite often there and someone seems to have moved the post in between the 2 parking spaces somehow....Normaly it's placed to the right of the closest space and it's easy to see it even with the blind spot. That is why I did turn left but the post was furthur away and I did'nt see it and did not expect to have there. See pic no. 2
