2LS feels slow out of redlights

Has anyone else noticed/ felt this?
Its a 2LS , 1 year old. with CAI.
Its not really a problem but I notice that when Im at a red light the car seems really slow and heavy to get going, unless I pound the accelerator. The way I normally drive I keep the revs at or around 2k. Other cars just seem to zip by and are halfway to the next light by the time I clear the intersection.

The Camaro is a heavy car. Like most modern engines, the V6 is tuned for revs.
Low RPM torque is what moves a car from a stop.

Those other cars around you are probably lighter and shifting 3-4k if they are that far ahead of you. Try shifting at 4k and see how many cars are pulling ahead of you

My manual V6 moves just fine. The reason you feel sluggish is that your 2LS is geared for fuel economy. Your running an open diff with 2.92 gears, compared to the SS based 3.27 unit us manual guys are running. There is a 3.55 gear set for autos, it would wake that car right up.

It hauls ass If I really want to, and no doubt some of those cars are lighter, But I cant help but feel that Im driving around in a Tank sometimes. Its massive for a sports car.

No problems with mine, and I have a Convertible which is even heavier than your car. It must be the economy gearing the LS has to get the 30 mpg rating.
You may want to consider a ported Throttle body to help with throttle response.

So am I. My Camaro may be a V6, but the car I drive during spring and summer weekends would make your SS look like its standing still.

There's the gear kit from phastek. You'll need a rebuild kit as well. I know nothing about the diff in the auto V6s so I really can help ya there.
