Hi guys,
I have been charged with finding a Camaro for my mom. I want MSRP, so I have that stickied thread. But what about all the assorted charges? Which ones are legit (taxes, license, etc), and which are just BS tack-ons? Anyone have a scan/PDF of what a real invoice should look like? TIA. |

Not really sure what you are asking for here. You will now when something is not right on the invoice you can compare its price to the window sticker or the online car builder.

MSRP should be on the sticker, anything other than that is a mark up. with tax title and registration your looking at 2-4k on top of MSRP depending on the state. Now once you add that on on top of MSRP anything extra is a mark up or add ons. Things you might see is rust proof, or that paint sealer, tint, extended warranty

I think what you really want is a list of everything that is legitimate. There are so many possible additions a dealer can word differently its insane.
Obviously you're going to want to make sure the MSRP reflects the proper MSRP. After that you'll want to check your TT&L fees for your state and make sure those match as well. As for the others, I personally can't tell you which are REALLY legitimate but I'm sure others can. Common other items would include Documentation and Inspection - as long as these aren't outrageously high I see them as allowable (once they get into the $100+ you're looking at a red flag). Hopefully one of the honest dealers we have here can give you the full scoop! |

MSRP
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT SALES TAX (Differs per state) DELIVERY (750 for R6P, 795 for non R6P) TAX/TITLE/REGISTRATION (Differs per state) DEALER FEE (Differs per dealer) That should be it.

Thanks guys, will look at these things. Just want to get my 66-year-old Mom's hot rod without her getting ripped off.
