Car is shaking a 1.5k rpms

Sooo... I got straight pipes installed today with SS tips and now my car is shaking when accelerating a 1.5k rpms going around a corner or up a hill.

The shop I went to is very reputable so I wasn't expecting this. It is about a hour drive and 50 miles from my house. The first 30 minutes home is all highway, and the second 30 minutes is curvy and hilly country roads. I don't recall any problems on the way home.

Then I spent 5 hours detailing my car and then went to a friend's house 30 minutes away and this driving was also curvy and hilly roads, and I noticed the car start shaking at 1.5k rpms going around a corner or up a hill.

Any ideas? If it is the pipes should I go back to the same people to get it fixed?

On a side notes, they sound amazing but my car shakes

What exactly do you mean by shake? Does it rock in one direction or another, or is it more of a vibration? And does the noise it makes get louder at the same time?

More of a vibration. The noise does not get louder, and the vibration is only momentarily.

Maybe have them check to make sure everything is tightened properly?

The new pipes might have a resonate frequency. I've experienced similar vibrations or sounds in narrow RPM ranges on other cars (particularly my dad's Miata and my mother's 4.6L Mustang). In each respective car, each has minor vibrations at at least two specific RPMs that share a common denominator (2400 and 3600 on the Miata, 1300 and 1950 on the Mustang). Have you noticed any vibrations at any other RPMs (say around 2250 or 3000)?

I would say definitely call the muffler shop and tell them what it's doing. They'll probably tell you to bring it in and they should fix it for free. I'll bet the pipes just need to be secured better.

Did they leave some pipe clamps attached somewhere?

Sometimes poorly mounted clamps will rattle until they fully heat up and expand.

Too bad I have a V6 but I still love it.

Anyway, I did a lot of driving today, about 100 miles. Country, city, and interstate, and it didn't do it once. When I was on the highway I made extra effort to keep it at 1.5k rpms while going around corners and taking hills and nothing. So, I don't know. Maybe the computers had to adjust to something?

1.5k rpm in what gear? Sounds like you have a habit of lugging the engine and it just now became noticeable because of the straight pipes.

It sounds like your exhaust is hitting your drive shaft tunnel brace? Mine did that after my exhaust install. You can add spacers

It also sounds exactly like the common torque converter issue with the 12 models.
