Something I would change for 2011

I found something about this car that I don't like. I mean besides the balanced front calipers. Is it just me or would others prefer the cruise control was back on the turn signal and the D.I.C. was back on the steering wheel? I sometimes like to flip through the D.I.C. and prefer it as it is on my Silverado. Its just a little easier IMHO. Ok another thing and this one IS probably just me. Its been about 20 years since I've driven stick. I always played with the shift knob while driving by unscrewing it and screwing it back on. Silly I know but it gave me something to do on trips. Freaking mechanic superglued it on one time and it drove me nuts afterwards. Anyone else out there do that or just me? I did it on my buddies 3rd gen firebird one time only it unscrewed at the wrong end of the shifter and I held up traffic at a light while I tried to get it back in the hole. DOH!

My cruise for my G5 is on the steering wheel, so I am used to it.

I am having trouble remembering where the door unlock button is! Always takes me about 10 seconds to figure out how to open the door so the wifey can get out

Tell her to pull the handle once to unlock and a second time to open.

I mess with the gear shifter as well, usually the reverse lockout thing though. The knob falling off at one light was more than enough.

the cruise on my 07 monte ss (as well as other GM cars) is on my left (wheel) and the radio stuff is on the R (wheel - front and behind) i LOVE it this way. my DIC (!!!!) is accessed via buttons that are right in reach of my right hand, but below the dash where a vent is. perfection. i love it this way. the G8 GT i test drove had cruise on a column knob (like wipers) and i didnt like that. either way... i know ill get used to / love the camaro layout...

everything takes some gettin used to.

oh, and ENDLESS congrats on the car.

When I open the console with my right arm and reach over and inside the latch scratched my arm. Still have some wounds healing from when I did it the first 3 times.

LOL...

Well, whatever you do don't ever get in the drivers seat of a Hurst Olds with the lightning rods. Your head will "asplode".
