Not typical blackout taillights

I posted a thread a couple weeks ago about just blacking out everything but the strip on the taillights. I was thinking about pulling my taillights out and just painting them. Well I figured that would probably not work out so I order some taillight tint from Big Worm and just cut them to fit. So it still has the look i was going for during the day but still functions as brakelights. Also another win for Big Worm and their fast shipping. I ordered these Friday morning, they were shipped by that afternoon and got to my house today, in Hawaii. Pretty good.

First is with lights on. Second with brake applied. I will do a day time shot with lights on and brake applied.

So the tints not too dark then. Didn't make much of a noticeable difference when the lights are on...at night

i thought about doing this as well, but i saw no advantage when it came to light output. and i read some people cutting it like that so the reflective park of the brake light will still show through. i decided to black out the whole tail light and the reflective part shows through the tint just fine. so if you are parked on the side of the road and someone drives up, it will still reflect back to them. pretty cool it does that, so i was happy
