LS3 same as LS2 Throttle Body?

I am going to have some throttle body work done, but if I do an exchange I want to be sure they are EXACTLY the same.

So is the LS3 throttle body the same as the LS2?

AFAIK, they are both 90mm t/b's

however IIRC, you can't bolt up a 4 bolt gen gen IV TB to a Gen III intake or vice versa

If you are comparing to the LS3 Camaro, the answer is NO they are not the same. There were some changes made.

I need to know ASAP if a Ls2 throttle body that is ported and polished is going to function 100% properly on the LS3 Camaro....

I just do not know the specifics if anything was changed.

That is what I think!!! But I am going to stick with the exact type that was on it in the first place...although the LS2 body is a much cleaner look when you polish it up!!! Oh well.

Thanks for the help folks!

The stock 90mm TB has made over 980 HP here.....not sure what porting will do other than screw up the driveability.

FYI, I thought I cleared up the question when I said they were different.
